Plastic Thermoforming Machine Manufacturer – LITAI Machinery

LITAI Machinery's new-generation, fully servo-driven plastic thermoforming machine incorporates internationally advanced plastic sheet forming technology. Integrating mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems, this machine automates the entire production process, including loading, sheet feeding, heating, forming, and cutting. Compared with hydraulically driven machines, it delivers more stable forming performance, faster production speeds, and a cleaner production process.

It is suitable for processing a wide range of materials, including A-PET, R-PET, C-PET, BOPS, HIPS, PP, PLA, PVC, and barrier materials. The machine is ideal for producing a variety of plastic products, including beverage cups, coffee cups, milk cups, drinking cups, bowls, and containers.

Advantages of LITAI Servo-Driven Plastic Thermoforming Machines

LITAI Machinery has developed distinctive technological advantages across its core product lines, including fully automatic multi-station thermoforming machines and fully servo-driven cup-making machines, setting its products apart from many competitors in the industry.

1. Fully Servo-Driven System

Servo motors are used throughout the cup-making and thermoforming machines, replacing traditional hydraulic or pneumatic drive systems. This upgrade delivers several key benefits: forming accuracy of up to ±0.05 mm, mold changeover times reduced by more than 40%, and approximately 30% lower energy consumption compared with conventional machines.

2. Coordinated Multi-Station Control

For three-station and four-station thermoforming machines, an independent closed-loop control system has been developed to coordinate each station. This system synchronizes heating, forming, punching, and stacking operations with timing deviations controlled at the millisecond level. This precision is particularly important when manufacturing PP and PET cups with wall thicknesses as low as 0.3 mm.

3. Integrated Mold and Machine Design

With two national utility model patents, LITAI Machinery integrates its mold design and mechanical R&D teams through a shared database. This ensures optimal compatibility between mold cooling channel designs and the machine's cooling system, helping maintain a finished-product qualification rate of over 99.2%.

Detailed Explanation of the Servo-Driven Plastic Thermoforming Machine Process

1. Loading Stage

Plastic sheets are stored in rolls and gradually fed into the machine by a fully automatic loading system. The feeding process is stable and continuous, minimizing production interruptions caused by manual intervention.

2. Heating Stage

Once the plastic sheet enters the heating zone, it is heated evenly by upper and lower heating plates. The temperature control system allows precise adjustments based on sheet thickness and material properties, ensuring that the entire sheet reaches the optimal forming temperature.

3. Forming Stage

The heated sheet moves into the forming station, where it is shaped by the mold. This stage combines compressed air, vacuum forming, and mechanical pressing to ensure that the material conforms closely to the mold, creating the desired food container shape.

4. Collection Stage

After forming, the sheet is separated into individual finished containers by the cutting system. Scrap material is automatically collected and transferred to the recycling system, while the finished products are conveyed to the stacking area and neatly stacked.

The fully servo-driven cup-making machine uses independent servo motors to control the movements of each station. It can achieve forming speeds of up to 35 cycles per minute, significantly exceeding the 22 cycles per minute typical of hydraulic models. This machine is particularly suitable for manufacturing PP and PET cups with thicknesses ranging from 0.2 to 0.5 mm, with finished cup wall thickness variations controlled within 0.02 mm.

The flip-over cup-making machine is optimized for specialty tableware with unique structures, such as cups with flanged rims or double-wall designs. Its mold-flipping mechanism enables the release of complex shapes while helping prevent rim deformation that can occur with conventional pressing methods.

Applications of LITAI Servo-Driven Plastic Thermoforming Machines

1. Fruit Containers and Fresh Food Packaging: Ideal for producing dark blue PET fruit containers and transparent PP strawberry boxes with thicknesses ranging from 0.3 to 0.8 mm. The machine delivers high transparency and excellent impact resistance.

2. Disposable Food Containers and Cups: Suitable for manufacturing PP, PS, and PP/PET food containers, lids, cups, and other products. The machine offers high production speeds, smooth surface finishes, and reliable sealing performance.

3. Cold Drink Cups and Yogurt Cups: Designed for thin-wall cup production with material thicknesses as low as 0.2–0.3 mm, requiring greater forming stability and reliable demolding performance.

5. Custom Packaging Solutions: Ideal for customized cups and packaging featuring embossed logos, anti-counterfeiting markings, and other special designs. These applications require precise coordination between the mold and the machine to achieve consistent, high-quality results.
